  1. What is the admission requirement for Master of Science programmes?

    A) A good honours degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related discipline with solid mathematical training or B) A good bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related discipline with solid mathematical training and 2 years relevant industry experience.

    Related disciplines include but not limited to bachelor's programmes offered by the College of Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

  2. Is TOFEL/IELTS required for this programme?

    A good TOEFL score (iBT = 92 or more, PBT = 600 or more, CBT = 250 or more) or IELTS score (6.5 or more) for graduates of universities in which English is not the medium of instruction. Test dates must be within 2 years or less from the date of your application.

    GRE is not required for MSc programme (by coursework).

  3. What is the most important aspect for a successful applicant for MSc programme?

    Meeting the minimum criteria does not guarantee the admission into the programme. The selection will be based on the comparison of the pool of applicants for a particular intake, academically and relevancy of work experience and will evaluate each application on a case-by-case basis.

  4. How long is the duration of the entire programme?

  5. How many courses can I take per semester?

    A full time student can take up to a maximum of 5 courses per semester and a part time student can take up to a maximum of 3 courses per semester.

  6. When and how should I apply for the programme?

    August and January Intake (Part Time & Full Time):

    Online application opens in January for the August intake and June for January Intake.

  7. Will NTU provide job placements for me?

    No. The University does not arrange job placements for students. However, the University arranges a Job Fair every year to help graduating students with job placement, which provides an efficient and effective platform for both employers and students. Do lookout for the Job Fair during your study in NTU.

  8. What is the tuition fee for the programme?

  9. What is non-subsidized Programmes?

    Non-Subsidised Programme – All students will pay the full tuition fees.

  10. When will I know the results of my application to programmes by coursework?

    You will be notified of the result latest by end of June (for admission in Aug) and Oct/Nov (for admission in Jan). Notification will be sent via email.

  11. Any accommodation on campus?

    International students may choose accommodation provided by NTU or rent rooms outside the campus. The number of on-campus accommodation is limited and allocations are done on a first-come-first-serve basis.   12. What is the estimated cost of living?

    You are advised to work out your budget prior to your arrival in Singapore so that you will be financially well-prepared for the duration of your studies.

    While at NTU, it is essential that you manage your finances well so that you will not be distracted by financial worry.
